Short listed alongside stiff competitors Birmingham, Sheffield and Norwich, last night Londonderry took the mantle of UK’s inaugural city of culture. The city centre roared to life with celebration when it was announced Londonderry was to be the 2013 UK city of culture, showing to the world how much it has to offer. Read more

Teachers from across Europe visit Stormont
A delegation of teachers from across Europe paid a visit to Stormont. Teachers from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Holland and the UK brought their experience to Northern Ireland.
Given the debate in Stormont about Education this was a useful chance to exchange views.
